What Personal, Studio, and Enterprise actually differ on — and the two things that never differ.
Three tiers, and only two things separate them: how many developers may use the product, and how support is handled.
| Personal | Studio | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seats | 1 developer | up to 25 | custom |
| C++ source | Included | Included | Included |
| Updates | Life of the product | Life of the product | Life of the product |
| Commercial use | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Projects | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Support | Email, best effort | Priority | Dedicated channel with an SLA |
| Invoice with tax ID | Yes | Yes | Yes, purchase orders available |
| Source redistribution | No | No | Negotiable |
C++ source is in every paid tier. It is not an upsell and it is not a Studio feature. Nobody should build a two-year project on top of a black box, and hiding the source would only lose us to competitors who include it.
Updates last for the life of the product, in every tier. There is no renewal fee and no maintenance plan.
If you ever see copy on this site suggesting otherwise, it is a mistake — report it and we will fix it.
Written out plainly so the promise stays keepable:
A seat is a person. One developer may install on as many of their own machines as they need — desktop, laptop, build machine. Twenty-six developers on a Studio licence is a breach even if only twenty-five machines are active.
Studio seats can be deactivated and reassigned by the licence holder from account settings when someone leaves the team.
Personal licences are sold both here and on Fab, at the same price. Studio and Enterprise licences, bundles, and early access to beta builds are only available here — those are things Fab cannot host, not a reason to avoid it.
Enterprise terms, purchase orders, and SLA specifics are agreed by email: use the contact form.
