Thinkra Blender add-ons are sold under the GNU GPL. What that means for you, and what the price pays for.
This page covers every Blender add-on sold by Thinkra Studio ("we", "us"), including Thinkra Rig Tools and Thinkra Toonsmith. It replaces the plugin EULA for these products. The terms and refund policy still apply to the purchase itself.
Blender is licensed under the GNU General Public License, and add-ons that use Blender's Python API are distributed under the same licence. The Python code of our add-ons is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL-2.0-or-later). The full licence text ships inside every download as LICENSE.
Under the GPL you may:
You are paying for the ready-to-install package, every update for the life of the product, and direct support from the people who build it. Buying here is also what keeps development going.
If an add-on ever includes code from another GPL project, that project's copyright is kept in the NOTICE file shipped with the add-on.
The GPL covers the code. The Thinkra name and logo, the product names, and our marketing images and videos are not licensed for reuse. A modified copy you share must not present itself as an official Thinkra product.
Anything you make with the add-ons, including renders, rigs, animations, and exported models, belongs to you. The GPL places no conditions on it.
As the GPL states, the add-ons are provided without warranty. Our refund policy still applies to your purchase.
